Using Sightline

By downloading or using Sightline, you agree to these terms. Sightline is made by Jeremy Conn, a sole proprietor based in Oregon, United States ("we," "us"). Sightline gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your devices. It's a design assistant, not a substitute for your own judgment.

Sightline requires an active iCloud account. That's how the app counts your usage and syncs your history across devices without ever asking you to create an account.

Subscriptions and billing

Sightline is free to use with monthly limits. Sightline Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store — $4.99 per month or $34.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple account at purchase and renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple account settings. Prices may vary by region and may change; they're always shown before purchase. Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.

Credit packs

Credit packs are an optional one-time purchase, sold through the Apple App Store, that add a fixed number of credits to your account. A credit is used in place of a monthly read or fix once your free monthly allowance is spent; your free allowance is always used first. Credits do not expire and carry over month to month. Because packs are a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, they don't auto-renew and there's nothing to cancel. Credits are tied to your account, not to a single device, and are consumable — they can't be restored or transferred once purchased. Payment and any refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.

Fair use of "unlimited" Pro

Pro removes the monthly read and fix limits for normal individual use, personal or professional. To keep the service fast and sustainable for everyone, "unlimited" is subject to a reasonable fair-use policy: it's meant for one person's genuine design work, not for automated, resold, or unusually high-volume use. If usage is excessive, automated, or appears intended to abuse or resell the service, we may apply limits to it — including automatic ones — or suspend it. We'll act reasonably and, where practical, contact you first.

Acceptable use

Please don't use Sightline to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt or abuse the service. In particular, don't try to bypass usage limits or the fair-use policy, and don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service. Only submit images you have the right to use.

Your content

Your images and your history are yours. You grant Sightline only the limited permission needed to process an image when you run a read — to generate and return your result, as described in the Privacy policy. We don't claim ownership of your work.

Our brand and software

The Sightline app, name, logo, and design are ours and protected by law. These terms don't give you any rights to our brand or software beyond using the app as intended.

No warranty

Sightline's feedback is generated by AI and offered as guidance. It reflects opinions and estimates; it can be wrong or incomplete, and it isn't professional or legal advice. In particular, the Accessibility tool is a helpful check, not a guarantee of compliance with WCAG, the ADA, or any other law or standard — where compliance matters, seek qualified review. The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Always apply your own judgment before acting on a result; you're responsible for how you use Sightline's output.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jeremy Conn (the maker of Sightline) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from your use of — or reliance on — the app or its output. To the extent liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using Sightline at any time. We may suspend or limit access if you violate these terms or the fair-use policy. Sections that should naturally outlive these terms — content ownership, disclaimers, and the limitation of liability — survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
